![]() | I'm just starting an Adwords campaign and need some advice because I don't want to be wasting money. Does anyone know of any good sources of free information relating to Adwords? Better still, has anyone been successful with Adwords? Thanks, Steve |

![]() | I think AdWords has a keyword suggestion tool like Overture does ... (OVT is at http://inventory.overture.com)

![]() | I have been using Adwords with pretty good success. Just follow their advice regarding keywords, don't try to compete on broad, expensive keywords. Instead, pick specific niche keywords and do well there.

![]() | Good advice maxdoor. I spend $100,000 - $120,000 a year on adwords. My best success comes from small niche kewords. Also, you may want to learn about the "content sites" feature on your board. Most ignore this but it is VERY important. Content sites are sites that you and I own that put up adsense ads vs Googles own search results. You can set your bid price lower for these and I reccommend doing that. This way you are paying top dollar for real Google clicks vs someone elses site that happens to display your results. It has really helped me out.

![]() | I also have had success with niche keywords rather than broad ones. The theory there being the user knows what they are looking for and the niche keyword makes sure your site is getting the most qualified user it can! This will see your conversion rate on the upward.

![]() | Here's a trick I read somewhere and tried it - place all your KW's in phrase AND exact match. I tried it and have had good results for one of my campaigns. Now I've changed it to placing all the product words into exact and the rest in phrase match. Still waiting to see the results

![]() | Ok. I use adwords. Don't spend as much as some peeps but I have had good success. This is the key. Overture has been mention is this forum already. Go to overture and search the MAIN key word related to you site. Then I would count down about 20 down from the top keywords. What happens is when you add the top 20 and compair it to the remaining 80 keywords you will see you'll get a better return for your money and spend less for your campaign. Don't compete with the big boys you'll loose everytime unless you have deep pockets. Another thing is be careful with CPC and CPM. CPC is what you pay and CPM is how many impressions your ad will appear on sites you either target or other google chooses. You can pick your own sites but with impressions with top 10 sites your money will go fast. Aaron WAH Monster, Inc. ACP |
