I use Website Submitter which you can obtain on submitsuite.com . I'm very happy about this program, because there are many sorted directories and also you can add your custom directories too. This submission is semi automated. It helps to fill in all the fields and you just have to check and make changes if wanted to directory selection and enter captcha. You can submit about 60-100 directories per hour.

It is not bad. That directories will get PR next update and what then? and may be they will become paid or someting else. I think we shouldn't avoid to submit sites to PR0 directories.
I prefer manually submission. I didn't even try automated sumit software. In my opinion it is suspect in Google view
