This is something new in my work. Bios Lock. Maybe you can check out this website which i search on G to find it. http://www.buildorbuy dot net/bioslock dot html.

I am looking on it at the moment hope to get some clues from it also. After reading what you've mentioned, about after removing the battery, bios still remain the same.

Regards,
David Cheong.

have you tried resetting the bios setting via jumper on your mobo ? usually that does the trick even for overclocked computers

forget to put this

what im trying to say is, if you overclocked your computer more than your mobo can handle, the only way to revert everything is by resetting bios via jumper. but you'll need to reconfigure everything again (i mean bios setting)

the cmos wont allow me to change boot settings or save and exit sttings

Yeah I tried that of what I thought was the jumper like I pulled the plug off one plug on mobod close to battery and put it on the one beside it and reboot then put the lead back to where it was but to no avail.

its locked.

Great to hear that you have solve your problems. Was just curiuos about when you remove the battery, if after 5secs, the bios should have reset due to information in it have no memory.

i have tips for you search for CMOS Bios password cracker on any search engines. then download it.. then walla the BIOS password returns to default just press enter...you will never remove the battery. just search for the appropriate BIOS password cracker like IBM, AWARD etc.... I've already encountered this stuff.

here is the keyword:
put the word "bios password cracker" in search engine bar...
