 |  IP tracking? Hello all ye more versed than myself in cyber-land. I would like to know how to find the person behind the protocal. I have the IP address: 192.168.0.1, any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

| Re: IP tracking? Thats an internal address. It is not publicly broadcast across the internet. Its probablly used to access a gateway (ie. Router). As 192.168.0.1 is the default ip address assigned toall class B routers. I bet your on a LAN?

| Re: IP tracking? Louis is right - it's only for your - usually - modem or router... type it in your web browser and see what comes up - that will tell you. (if it's connected)

| Re: IP tracking? Or go to start > run > cmd.exe and type in "ipconfig" minus the quotes on a windows system. If you are on linux in the console I believe the command is "ifconfig" This will give you alot of valuable information regarding your network settings: ip address, network address, and subnet mask.
