 |  Domain name .org SERP disadvantage hi all, i bought 5 .org domains and currently trying to seo it and trying hard to make it appear first page in SERP for the keywords. In my case, the keyword is the domain name. with no extra character or "-" etc. I found out, its harder to rank a .org, than rank a .com. i know because i have 10 .com running, and they ranked fast...compare to these .org Is this a fact??

| Re: Domain name .org SERP disadvantage wikipedia is back by many authority site, and indeed they spend lots of money to get listed in directory, and even deep linking their site. the major concern here, is something i notice where my .org are listed slower, and the keyword listed are lesser. to me, in Object-oriented programming world, if we would create a class for .com and .org, their property/varieble will be varies. Indeed, not all caries the same weight. For example .edu mark the education site and carries more authority in the sense. so thus this affect many others factor. i am thinking the hidden variable of these org thing. maybe i think too far already.

 | Re: Domain name .org SERP disadvantage No, you don't have to worry at all about that. .org and .com and all TLD's are virtually ignored. The only time that TLD's are given any weight is when a search is used that is looking for local services or web sites. |
