| Spammers I'm watching you | Hello All, I'm relatively new in SEO. However, I have two questions to all - How many keywords is acceptable for search engine in webpage? I've found some websites using only few keywords, again some are using more than 50 keywords? If I use different keywords in different pages, will it work or just use same keywords in different pages? Same question about description as well. Thanks in advance. |

![]() | I would add as many keywords as possible for my website, but not too many. I would think around 10 - 20 would be sufficient. And with a description, make sure its not too long otherwise it may result in being cut off when on Google. In other words, if theres too many words in your description Google adds a ... to the end, as theres a maximum amount of characters allocated.

![]() | dont spam, dont stuff the page with over keyword. just compose your content naturally, and conver all the keyword you want. bold it, or make it H1, for your primary keyword.

You can use as many keywords as you need, but you must be extra careful not to overuse these keywords-that means staying away from keyword stuffing. You can use different keywords in different pages but again u must be extra careful while writing your description or website/webpage titles not to put any words that doesn't pass in your pages. Google is very sensitive about this. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I suggest you to start a whole seo process with a deep keyword analyzis. It is quite important to choose word, phrases that will bring you nice traffic. I use to create an excel sheet. Vertically I place the possible phrases and horizontally I note down the number of competitor pages and the PR extent of the top 10 results. In the light of these infomation I can judge the possibilities more specifically. After selecting the keywords it is extremly important to design the external page structure in the light of them. You should optimize the main page for the hardest words. If you decide to compete for a hard keyword do not place too many words in the <title>. And don't forget that the pages that are on higher vertically level in the page structure have more power.

![]() | The matter is how much keywords are frendly for crawlers. Some SEO tools demand up to 1000 char., others say not more 500...???? I mean meta tag |

![]() | I was under the impression that the meta keyword tag was now depreciated and not used, certainly not by any of the major SE's.

![]() | IMO, it depends on what are the major keywords of the site. if it is too many, you can choose the most related ones in those terms. |
