I also have a question.
I try to backup SQL database from my host server. It generates *.php backup file instead *.sql .. I created my database on my local comp and PHP-admin on my local machine generated *.sql backup file. I uploaded it in my host server using servers php-admin? Can I restore my database with that *.php backup file or I should convert it? Is there some mistake?or I just do not understand anything?

First, you need dump your old DB from your old server. You may use mysqldump or phpMyAdmin. Then import your db in your new server. If you db is large, I think you may use http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php

If you don't know how to do it, you may contact with your provider support, ask them to do it.
