my forum has been running for a year now and began life as a small forum where my friends hung out and talked music, but the past few months have seen some new members outside our group joining and now we wish to grow it.

The forum is a music community, the main subject being alternative but has now taken on subjects outside this catagory.

Any sorts of advice would be so helpful to me, just throw your comments to me and i will try and work on them. i know i have done the typical admin thing and post double than what my members do but since its so small, its hard to get some things started. if anyone has any other advice on how to try and help the site would be really cool too.

I like the layout, seems to fit in with your forum's theme..love the idea of the lol wonder if anybody failed the test?
Anyway, other than "paying people to post", exchanging links, submitting your forum to "digg" "de.lico.us" (etc) and other forms of marketing, I can't think of anything that I would do different..Love the look!

Offtop what was their debut album?
On ther topic: the forum seems to be nice, it's easily navigable and plain, try to focus on growing your community if you arew interested in that as a commercial project, socila networking may work pretty fine for you.

thanks, sadly the members dont seem that interested in the album i am getting next to no entries - they must have bad taste in music lol.
oh well - 2 weeks to go, we will see
i have even tried to advertise the competition outside the forum but no one ever seems interested.


I am trying to make my community grow and have them involved in the forum and trying to make them part of the team if they wish to help.
