Default Dreamweaver

On average how long would a text based html basic link page take to create with this software? 2-3 hours 5-10 hours?

How longs a piece of string?, depends on how long your links page is.
I could do it in about 2 minutes, I only use Dreamweaver for colour coding, not sure how quick it is with the mickey mouse drag and drop GUI.

I could not get you that what exactly do you mean.

If you wish to design a simple link page it will takes less than 5 minutes in dreamweaver if you know how to do it. If you know Microsoft Word than it is very eazy to use Dreamweaver

If your text link page has 5 links, then it will take 30 seconds to create. If it has 500 links then it might take 5-10 minutes depending on how fast you can type. You just need to do a lot of copying and pasting which shouldn't take that long.

I'd say under a hour, to be precise, just a few minutes. Why do you ask anyway?

It depends on how much knowledge you have of the software.
