Default Best simple script for hiding email address?
I need a simple script to hide my email adress on my website from spambots.

I haven't set up a Contact Us part on the website yet, but must do it now since I will try to get my site listed in the more serious directories.

Is it enough to put the mail-to HTML code in a javascript .js file?

I am also considering to create a mail to form and hide my email address totally.

I would recommend to create a contact form and hide your e-mail address totally. If you do wanna show your e-mail to the public, place the e-mail on an image file, spambots can't retrieve them.

Nice tips. Image file is a good idea. I've seen some website putting their email address like "abd at def dot com". I wonder if this one work?

The best is using an image ... But even the usage of contact [at] mysite [dot] com is good enough to fool the spam bots...

I use this method abd at def dot com.
Seems tto work really well until the spam bots find a way to pick it up.

Hey! Found a form 2 mail script which hides the email address:
form2email.net/

Think I will use this one. The ordinary script from Matt's Script Library
use the email address in the form code and is visible for spambots.

Here's something equally good: A Captcha script to use with the form 2 email script!

Have tested it. Works without problems. The first word it asked for was 'SCREW'. LOL.

You can just JavaScript escape the email address.

Just make an image with your email address instead of using text
