Default Dmoz - Take it or leave it

I applied to be an editor on dmoz on Friday night, for a category that had about 100 listings.

Got an email response almost immediately saying they wanted me to join as an editor but not in that category, one with 15 - 70 listings was better - so found a suitable category with 50 listings in, applied and they haven't even replied since.

The email I got back said they wanted me to be a mod and urged me to reapply under a different category!

Makes me wonder if it's some decent people on there who are genuine and then on the 2nd submission some cretin read it and thought ahhhh sod ya.

Or the 1st person just thought, I know what, I'll waste some more of this losers time!

Anyone here been or had any experience with the dmoz guys ?

I have had alot of experiences with DMOZ editors, most are good, but there are always some bad apples in the bunch.

From your post I can't understand if you received a second response, if not give it a little more time. I presume the second application was for a sub-category of the first application?
