![]() | I changed my website keywords and description, was getting over 250 unique search engine hits a day, now I'm barely getting 100... Anyone know if I will have to wait another month before google updates again, or is there something I can do to get the traffic coming back in, I am so down and out about this, went from making $50-$100 a day from this site to almost nothing... I cannot even find my site on google now ![]() Someone please shed some light on my problem.

![]() | The traffic will return in time. You just need to change the keywords back to what they were. However, when it comes to Google, it doesn't pay much attention to keywords or your description. It practically ignores your keywords, and most of the time will use content from your page for a descripton. I would look into my page content. What changed around the same time? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't think it had much to do with your keywords and description either. Do you use Google webmaster tools? You can use those tools to track your best keywords and keyphrases. |

![]() | Traffic will return just change back to what you had. Surely you kept a backup somewhere from before you changed the site. |

| Wish you were here! | Use the right and proper SEO strategies and you have no worries. I've got so many keywords that are not even affected. I stopped counting my keywords after hitting 112 No.1s. http://www.internet-empire.com/seo-sample.htm Regards, Edmund Ng |

![]() | Yeah, that is what I've been working on here: http://www.warcraft-power-guides.com/temp.php This is how the site originally looked and I should have left it alone, I really want to slap myself stupid for removing all that content I had... The original was a test, so I didn't think to back it up, but I should have, it worked like a charm, I am back at ground zero rebuiling the site the way it was originally.. ![]() But with the new forum I added, it may help out, just need to get some members posting on it.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My best advice to you would be not to worry about meta keywords at all. In fact, if you removed them, it wouldn't make a differnence. All major search engines completely ignore meta keywords, and the only use they make of the meta description is when listing your site in the results page. If you stopped getting a large amount of traffic, you should consider finding out why, because changing your keywords and description isn't the reason at all. |

![]() | I'm sorry to hear that. Like jump and others have mentioned those tags are not the cause for your troubles. You should look for other reasons. Keep in mind Google changes things frequently, so rankings can go up and down quite a bit. Keep good content, keep your content fresh and build theme related links and you should not be affected as much by GOOGLE changes. |

![]() | I can see that, but anytime you change it takes about month to adjust. I wouldn't switch anything until after about 30 days of not seeing any new traffic. |

![]() | The addition of a forum seems to be a good match for a gaming type site. Your audience is already into participatory activities. Could be a really great avenue to exploding your content. . |

![]() | Well, I have finished with the site (for now) It looks better than it origianlly did, tons more links, TONS more content and a video for entertaining first time viewers... Check it out! By the way... all the front page content is what put me in the top of google in the first place (I believe), the use of mispelled keywords does major wonders! Anyone know what PHPNuke is? I added it to my server but have no idea what it is... http://nukem.warcraft-power-guides.com
