Default 2D, Flash or 3D?

What online product view presentation is better to choose - 2D, Flash or 3D?

It depends on what you are presenting. Sometimes it's best to use flat .gif images, sometimes it's best to use flash, and sometimes it's best to use 3D images.

Hi there,

The thing about flash is that it is generally quite too ... flashy . I prefer what jumpenjuhosaphat mentioned - I think it's always better to .gif's to present graphical information, etc.

Make your own decision, but make it carefully. Depending on what type of audience you are aiming for always makes the difference.

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

We are going to implement our 3d models into apparel, jewelry and electronics online shopping web sites. Comparing 3D product view presentation with Flash it should be pointed out that 3D models are considered to be more realistic! The point is that they allow users to rotate, zoom, move, flip and see each aspect of a product from any angle in real time! In addition the latest technologies allow creating 3D technologies with a small source-file size with excellent quality. These models are downloaded within a seconds!! If you don't agree with me, just visit our site and see 3D product view models placed there. The difference between 3D and Flash or 2D is incomparable! Isn't it? We think, if you visit our web site and see 3D product view models placed there you will change your opinion about 3D, 2D and Flash!

Hi there,

...was there any point in asking . There are times and places for Flash and 3D images, and I agree, you are using it for a good reason. I think your website is very creative, a website which you can view your item at all angles before buying...genius!

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.
