Unhappy Horrible Alexa Error?

Hello,

Hopefully, somebody would be kind enough to help me understand what the HECK just happened to my Alexa "sites that link here" statistics.

We own www.whispy.com and while checking my stats on Alexa today I noticed that all of a sudden after 6 years, under "Sites that link here" is now a 1?!! We had 1600 or more for the past several years --and when I checked two days ago.

on MSN - link:www.whispy.com 8,058
On Yahoo - Inlinks (22,116)
Google: about 213 linking to www.whispy.com (which I know is just a fraction)

Help understanding if this is just a horrible error or if something else is the cause, would be GREATLY appreciated.

It's more than likely that it's an error on Alexa. I doubt that you've lost any links to your site, especially that many. Alexa has been going through some changes, so you can probably liken the error to that.

Alexa has always been listing way less links for inovartis than anywhere else, even google. I wouldn't really mind them.

Thanks, very much for all of your comments and taking the time to reply. I never DO rely on Alexa for anything, I just thought there may have been something wrong.

Thanks again,

Lilly

Alexa is a very inaccurate and in my opinion USELESS tool.
