Verify ownership

We've detected that your 404 (file not found)
I've created a file named google1b2cdcf2b301683a.html
http://www.rateanddateonline.com/goo...2b301683a.html

Its there but google claims its not!!!

I'm not sure what to do about this.

Is it for the webmaster tools? If so, I think you need to place the code they give you in your home page.

Yea its for the tools.
You can use meta tags or create the random file name that is generated and put it in your root directory like I have done above

Have you placed something in that file? Like the head tags and body tags? If not, then google might not be able to verify it because there is nothing inside the file to view. It's just a thought, give it a try and let me know.

I've had the same problem. Just add the meta tag which Google gives you.

i had the same problem and my problem was .htaccess file . if you are using mod_rewrite , they can be the problem

I haven't any problems with that. I create file with content "TEST" and google virified me as owner.
