I agree with Kieran, unfortunately I don't know how to recover the forum from this, and I don't know that it would be worth it until the hole has been covered. Hopefully the server admins have made necessary backups of all the sites on their server, otherwise it just might be a complete loss....

I sure hope they did backup the stuff.

Needless to say this whole story sucks, I hate hackers.
I'm ok with these working for the better part of it.

But stupid idiots just crashing and deleting stuff should all be hanged by the balls right away.

I hope the issue solves itself fastly and with as less damage as possible!

! So jumpenjuhosaphat and midlani, do you know how bad the damage is yet. If you want to know how bad the hacker has attacked the server, do a reverse IP scan on your server and check some of the other websites hosted on it.

Well, I have one website on it, and it's gone. But I haven't tried accessing the cPanel yet. The forum is twisted in ways I didn't think possible. It's a shame, I hope that we can recover from that. The forum and TriPHP are much more important than the site I had hosted there, so that's where my biggest concern lies.

thats quite true a women wouldnt look twice at you if you said you where a hacker.
when my site was hacked it was my forum too and its the same as midlandi i know a guy who can fix the forum for free or a banner on the site as he did mine and i just put his banner on he works on those forums
