![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I registered a few .info domains at godaddy last night. I have noticed that none of them have fully propagated yet. With a dot com or dot net it usually takes about 5 minutes after you point it toward the new servers. I have never had to wait more than 30 minutes for a .com or .net. After a little research I found an article saying that .biz .info , pretty much every ending but .com and .net will take 24 to 48 hrs longer to propagate. Why is this? I have searched and searched and have not found an explanation. Anyone?

![]() | there are dns servers all over the world, just because YOU can see your domain resolved doesnt mean someone else (say in australia) can see that domain. Usually it take a while to get it all propogated to all the DNS servers . . . depending on amount of update that day ..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I created a sub-domain on Wednesday, it took until today to fully propagate. It's unusual, normally sub-domains take just a few moments before they propagate so that I can view them. |

![]() | DNS Propagation may take from 0 hour to 48 hours. Actually, most of the ISP maintain DNS Cache to save the bandwidth. Once your ISP refreshes the dns cache you will see the site.

| Wish you were here! | Just go for Dynadot for domains and Hostgator for hosting. They're the fastest. I've got tons of domains hosted for my students. DNS pointed almost real time. Regards, Edmund Ng |

![]() | It's because of the technology and methods that the particular domain authority employees, before DNS can even propagate the master whois record needs to be created or updated. With .com this is practically an instant process with some others it's sadly not.
