I don't personally like them much. I find them an annoyance, and a bit disturbing. However, I think that the technology behind them(how'd they do that?) is pretty fascinating. I guess right now it's only possible on windows servers, but I'm seeking a way to do it using a linux server.

I see where your coming from, i think its a great additional thing for members.
Can be distracting but you quickly learn to navigate away!

A good design can make any user of the forum click on the link. Maybe a good addition

You can disable it by clicking disable in the box that comes up.

Hi there,

It is all that clever, say for instance I left a link http://www.iwebtool.com/seo_checklist - the preview doesn't show the actual page it would go to, it shows the index page.

So really Thumbnails needs improving, I find it annoying too, but I can see the usefulness in them too.

I personally think those "previews" are annoying. I've actually written about this feature in my website a while back. You can read my story here.
