![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Better as far as what is concerned? .com names are the most recognized TLD's, but other than that, what TLD you use is really not very important. |

![]() | Well .info is usually the cheapest if that is what you mean by "better". |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would suggest to register com if the desired name is still available, otherwise there is no difference between tld-s, only in their meanings.

![]() | well thats a hard question to answer as it all depends on what exacly the content of your site is going to be .. if its not an informational site then .com will usually be the best bet as google and other engines give it higher priority "usually" not allways the case tho |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, that's only a myth. The search engines don't give any TLD more priority over any other. Although, if you are using a country specific TLD, you will be indexed in the SE for that country. Other than that, SE's don't care what the TLD is. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Well TLD's do actually have meanings, .com stands for commercial - so you should really use this for business purposes. .info should be used for informational websites. But it really doesn't matter, the only thing I find better with .com TLD's is that people always enter that first of the top of their head. If you couldn't remember the extension of a domain, but you new the medium, would you go; Erm.......iwebtool.........gb.uk, no you would go iwebtool.com. That is the only real advantage that I find. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

![]() | If you are building a new site I'd go for .com just because its the one most people would try first if they couldn't rememember your full address. Mine is established now, and UK specific which is why I get away with the .me.uk , bit I also have the .co.uk version to go with it just in case. (gofindit4me.co.uk). i wanted the .com but someone else had it and just has a holding page there at the mo, but wanted silly money to sell it.

![]() | if you are only looking for search engine traffic it doesnt matter (info is the cheapest) but if you want people to keep on coming back, stick with a .com . . . people have been programed to type ".com" at end of every word.
