![]() | No, The PR will not reset as a result of you changing host. What can change your PR is if the links that gives you potential purchase its PR3 is removed, however if that stays (the back links) your PR3 will remain. Good luck |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Temi is correct, you need to be certain that when you change hosts that you move your entire site to the other server first, and keep your files on your old server, and then change your name servers to point to your new server. Keep the old files up for at least 4 days(longer if you can) after the DNS has propegated to your new server, just to be sure. If you do that, you should be fine. |

PR is allocated to a URL No matter where it's hosted, who owns it IMO makes no difference to Google's PR in the short term. It might alter your SERPS if the new host is in a different country to the old one, as Google takes the country into account. Also the speed of the site can affect the googlebot crawler rate, which might be a consideration to a big site.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It won't make any difference. The PR will only be effected if you lose inbound links, or you are otherwise penalized for black hat techniqes. You should be fine. Why the worry over PR? |
