i've noticed my site slowly going down from yahoo search results. is there any yahoo update or something?

what do you do to rank well in yahoo?

I read a post regarding that in here or at digital point. According to that yahoo have made some changes in their SE algo. You might wanna search for "latest yahoo algo update" on google.

I also encounter the same, some says that yahoo give more weight to older site... but not sure if that is true because I have 3 years old site but keep dropping.

I agree, a Yahoo directory listing works a charm, I can normally get quite old sites to rank well fairly easily without a listing but for new sites it is practically impossible for competitive phrases.

I paid for the yahoo directory and have not found that true at all.

Is there a reason you have Optimised and optimisaton spelled like that?
Maybe that is a common spelling error that you are trying to target?

i'm not sure about this, but, i think Yahoo gives more importance to quality content and back links.

Regarding the recent drop in rankings that many have experienced, I've heard two things:

Algorithm changes.
They were repopulating their index recently so many sites dropped out and then were added back in.
