Retiring US and booming China

Been reading about the retiring US population and how basically in the future (2014 extending to 2020) there isn't enough young americans to pay for retired peoples pensions. Causing a whole load of problems not just financial but labour shortage also.
How do you think the US will deal with this issue?

Also in China you have an almost unending expansive economy with lots of cheap labour(which is increasingly skilled) which will eclipse the US economy sometime around 2014 or even before.

We are moving (or have moved) from the industral age to the information age. How do you see the future panning out online, will the big sites of the future be china based. Will it be run by the existing big companies or will new ones emerge and take over?
