| Re: What is SEO? I think SEO is one of the most cost-effective tool to bring traffic to your site in long term. It won't sell your product, but gives you a chance to do that.

Is it primarily building links? If so, what kind of links? Are there other important factors? Is PR an important factor in SEO? What naming conventions are necessary to be successful in SEO? etc....In other words, what steps do you take to improve search engine traffic? |

But if you learn seo you can bet them out of a few search terms and make some money and there is nothing they can do about it. I like being an SEO professional because i can help the little guy. Not BIG Corp. This is the only shot that the Average man (or Woman) has at least a chance of playing in the big boys ball park! Kinda like a high school football team playing a pro team and beating them. This happens on a daily basis on the net and i Love it!

| Re: What is SEO? In the past I have always considered onsite SEO as the real SEO work. Only in the last two years I've been really aware and interested in doing backlink SEO. Several years ago it was possible to put your main keyword in a H1 tag and be sure your website ended up among the 10 first in the SERP's. But now the competition has become extremely hard, perhaps too hard. |

In a nutshell i suppose its making your site as visable to the world and enjoyable to the visitor as you possibly can by whatever means and budget you have. (and then change it all again tommorow to keep up!!)  |
