Best Web Stats

I've used Google Analytics, but it isn't very accurate. Awstats are based on your servers raw access logs, where as GA is based on what they record on a seperate server. If there server experiences even a moment of disconnectivity, that can have an effect on the stats. I've noticed a large difference between statistics on GA and Awstats, but I can't explain them.

I prefer Google analytics. I hope I spelled that right. It is on the google site and it is free to use.

I like analytics but I also combine it with using 3dstats.com They info is easy to digest plus it has a feature that shows who is online at the present time.

http://www.statcounter.com is as good or even better than Google Analysis

Awstats for me also as long as the rot scripts are updated. I hate the constant email message of "you have add-ons available".

For time the time being, I use statscounter.com which I think is very good. Except that they do have limits on your visitor log unless you upgrade to premium account which I thought is quite hefty price to pay.

I don't want to rely on AWstats because it had crashed my server hosting before. Now I have it disabled although I really love the whole smorgasbord of stats it offers.

One more webstats system which I really like is Stuffed Tracker.

I use http://www.alterwind.com

It provides more statistical information than webalizer.
you will never have to deal with webalizer statistics failing to update. If you want an update download your logs place them into the AlterWind and view your stats.
Since the statistics are calculated on your local machine there are no resources spent server side, meaning your site will load very quickly!!!
