For a simple to follow beginners tutorial in PHP go to http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp

The only half way decent forum for PHP is www.phpfreaks.com

If you run into troubles while coding PHP try asking here first, if you can't get an answer here the go to phpfreaks.

Along with the sites mentioned above, if you want to give your eyes a rest from the computer screen and read a book, I would suggest Sams Teach yourself PHP in 24 hours.

There are a lot of programming books out there but this one is good and is a nice reference. I would encourage you to look before you buy, by visiting a book store ( B&N has it).

I was checking out that book yesterday. It has a better price tab than many of the other books as well. I have read teach yourself in 24 hour books from Sam's before, and they've all been chock full of information.
