I am willing to pay anyone A$25 per button. They need to be 135 x 135 and pretty fancy. Following is needed per button. They are all going on the same web site.

(1) Sports Book
(2) Casino

(6) Horse Racing

Background will be white. Can be flash, animated gif or just static, but must be as small as possible in size as they will be on the home page.

I haven't figured anything out yet on what will go on the buttons. I wanted to get your feedback on the button itself before I went any further. So is the background sort of what you had in mind?

Yes, no problem. It makes the file quite a bit larger that way though.



This one is 200K as opposed to the 11K of the first one. Could do it in flash as well, but it would still be pretty big. You could minimize the size by not having anytransitions between the images, just have it switch back and forth between the images. I'll give you an example in a minute here.

I think the 22k ones look smoother, given there will be 6 different ones.

Does each picture you add make it bigger? ie basketball, football, tennis, golf etc ?

Having multiple occurances of a single image on a page is the same as having the image only once on the page. But because my browser already has the images cached, it loaded pretty quick.

Adding images does increase the size by about 10 or 11K each image. But I could do it in flash so that isn't so much of a worry. The problem with flash is that search engines don't see them, so if there are links in the flash buttons, the search engine won't follow it.

On this button, I was thinking that the best place for the text would be in the upper left side. But it'll possibly be different for each button.

This file is only 12K, but I the quality is suffering.


Should you hire me to do this, I could create it so that you could use the same background for each button, and just have the image on the button be custom and animated. That might save a bit of bandwidth when viewing the site.

But the best thing to do in my opinion is to use flash, and if you are worried about seo, have the same links at the footer of the page so that the search engines know to follow them. If we do it that way, the files would be a lot smaller.
