![]() | Hey, http://forum.mattsprojects.net I've heard some people saying they don't want to post in a forum where the title has my name in it; I want to have a connection with MPR-EN, but want people to post too :-/ What could I add to it to make it unique? How can I get people to post? Thanks for any help, -Matt

![]() | You must work your layout (the one you have is the SMF default right?) and work with your link pop. But anyway having a webmaster related forum in our days is really hard, as there are hundrends of them

![]() | I know of a place, a help forum for forums, that may be good reading for you. http://www.forumuniversity.com/campus/index.php, lots of member and staff are moderators or somehow related to the big "webhostingtalk" forum. There sure is a lots of forums experiences moving around at that place. Check it out I don't think the title or the layout are your problem, like Nikolas said, your niche is a hard one to beat. I would sugest getting more people to come in, from them you will get only a percentage to join and from that just a small percentage will be posters. Many people join and never come back again. The more people visiting the more posts you will get. Eh, what do I know... I had the same problem, same SMF, and instead of working my forum I decided to put it on hold so I could dedicate myself to promote my main site, since the forum was a subdomain and was related, my idea was that if I could get enough related people to visit the main site I could then move that traffic over to the forum. Life is funny sometime, even with the close sign on, I had some people that joined it. What I learned from all this was that, by doing what I did, I had put my main site, my forum too, in the first SERP and the SE traffic was been directed to the forum. I should go back to work on it now but I lost interest in the forum, now I'm hook on the SEO stuff. Good luck.
