 |  1st page of google.co.uk but not .com Hi guys, We have an engineering website developed which is on the 1st page of google when searching "UK only" but when we search "the web" it slips to 2nd page. Is it just due the more popular international sites showing up above ours? Thanks in advance. Damon

| Re: 1st page of google.co.uk but not .com Servers based in same country as google selected country gives better results. So uk based server gives higher postition when using google.co.uk

| Re: 1st page of google.co.uk but not .com The web search is more competitive, you will need more links using the search phrases you are targeting in the text that links to your site to rank on web search as well.

| Re: 1st page of google.co.uk but not .com It is not the domain name only, it is also based on where your hosting server is located (yes, it is a borderless world, and yet, we still see this). Websites about Maldives but hosted by a server exchange in Hong Kong will give you variety of placement in the search engines. |
