This is my first website/forum that I have created.

I didnt realise how much hard work it would be to get members!

Anyway, if you would be so kind as to have a look and give me any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

I got the forum first, and liked the colour layout so much I designed the website around that! Probably meant to do it the other way round!

Im finding it quite difficult to advertise because it covers many different things, unlike a webiste that deals in just one thing.

At the moment ive got moan of the week and will choose something each week that is quite high profile and use google adwords to advertise it. That way I can focus on one thing and get people to the site.

This week its celebrity big brother. Only problem is im getting the hits, but no ones joining up!

I think its a great idea what you have there, your site looks nice and clean.
I have only two thing that i think will just and more fine tuning to your site;

1. In the Home Page i think you need to make a better looking Links buttons check out this site www.flamingtext.co.uk

2. You sould add "Meta Names" in your Forum for SE.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Ill put some meta tags into the forum. Im presuming I would only need to do it on the main forum page.

I will have a look at new buttons, although im not 100% sure how to put them into the forum as I had the CSS done for me.

i think you should open a new thread..

and poweful_rogue..the site looks good but the button looks very "usual" i will say. In the rest is fine.

Many thanks for your reply.

I was looking for an idea that was different, and when I searched on the net I found a couple of simiar sites, but they seemed quite redundant.

Ive set up the main part which is the forum. The membership uptake isnt great at the moment, but then its only about a week old.
Im currently using Adwords, which is bringing visitors to the site, but not many signing up.

My best visitor at the moment is googlebot! He cant seem to stay away!

Its a case of working out which direction to take the main site. Eventaully when the forum takes off, Im going to create an FAQ of the most frequently asked questions. But until then im a little stumped!
