I am still very new to this whole website ranking thing and learning on my own. I am very happy that I found IWebTool. It is really a very helpful community. I have put my ad with google ad sense. I have only general advices for seo newbies. Try to choose keyphrases that will generate you nice traffic. On the Internet lot of keyword selector tools exist: eg. iwebtool keyword suggestion tool, google's KW tool.

It is really important to avoid KWs with high number of competetitors in the beginning. You can check this when you do a searching query with a SE and you will see it in the top-right corner.

I suggest you not to optimize a single page for more than two KWs, but it depends on the number of competitors.

So if you have the chosen KWs, place them into the meta tags -the title tag is particularly important. There are some html tags which have stressed significance in the light of seo. Headings[ <h1> - <h3>], the bold stye [ <b> ], the italic style [ <em> ] , the anchor text of the links (the external and internal links are both important). Please endeavour to place the KWs into them.

Try to design valid code with <div> tags instead of <table>s. Placing the javascript codes, and style information into external css and js file will also improve your rankings. And of course, you need a lot of backlinks containing the keywords and keyphrases in the anchor text.

seo guru always bold the word keyword..and keyword..the basic things is important to improve much on our keyword..it take me about 3 month to study on suitable keyword in term of competition and how to make my site more unique than others.

Links! Keyword links are a great way to go. Yahoo is easier, IMHO, to get decent rankings, but it still takes time. I listed in their directory, which does help you in the serps, but I do not get traffic from that listing.

Make sure you internally link your site with the keyword of your choice. I also use press releases, PRweb is the best IMHO and cheap.

I did use adwords, but my roi was horrible, I do better with natural listings. There is no magic bullet to get top rankings, that I know of, it mostly involves work to get the links that matter. It took my site 4 or 5 months to rank well in Yahoo and then another 2 months to rank in the top 10. I hope this helps and good luck!
