Question:
Can a new domain and website that is only a few months old go from not being even indexed to a PR5 within 6 months? Post your thoughts and we'll give the answer later.

Absolutely. I created 2 pages, one about ~30 days ago, 1 about ~28 days ago. Both of which gained in PR. The ~30 day old page is now a PR2, and more impressively, the page that I created ~28 days ago is a PR4. Those aren't the only pages that are less than a month old that have experienced PR gain either.

One more, I created a site on October 30, 2006. It should become a PR5 this update. I'll let you know when Google gets done with exports.

The linkfelhő seo contest in Hungary started in the middle of november. The site -which actually own the 1st position- has just gained the PR5.

Otherwise, according to the SERP my main site - i-connector.com was registered on 27/07/2006 - also gained this kind of PR, but the google hasn't exported the value yet.

Yes. I got PR5 on 2 domains at this PR update. Both domain has only index page with a logo. I listed these domain with my blog only, Nothing more

Your answers are correct to all. We created FishingWebsite.org only a few months ago. We started the project and now have stopped all work on it because of our new national program. We were lucky to get good backlinks on the site. Even though the site itself is pretty bare it hit a PR5 on its first go around. Proof that linking alone is good for PR. We have decided to sell the site but it was fun to watch it happen. We also had 4 other sites get a PR4 on the first round of PR.

Yes. A newly registered domain of mine hit PR 6 within a few months last year.

Yes it could for sure. Necassary backlinks in place and good timeing.

It might not happen if Google selects your site as one it's not going to update PR at that time however.
