Hello,

i have a website with a lousy domain name and also i think my client signed up for some crazy abd link farm and advertisement.

my question is, i now have the new address but i can't have 2 websites with same content. i want to do something that im not really sure what.

should i redirect the old site to the new one? isn't this going to relate the bad site with the new? might be bad...

what do you think i should do

Is this old site getting any traffic? If you think the old site is red flagged or banned for dirty seo tactics then why don't you just completely forget about it? Its better to stay on the safe side of the road.
I have no idea if a redirect would effect your new site if the old one was flagged or banned.
That leads to tons of questions that only google employees know.

But without a doubt pick one of the two and don't have two sites with the same content.

You may want to get a 2nd or 3rd opinion.

I agree with seowebtools comment about your old site saying "completely forget about it".

There is no penalty for similar content, so as long as you revise the new pages and avoid an identical mirror site, you should be okay.

The SE's look for mirror sites or other "tricks" to get multiple sites indexed with identical content to improve ranking or traffic. You should be able to get around this with a few edits. Good luck.
