Default hosting buyer advise

I'm reviewing my hosting packages and would like input from those of you who buy hosting as to what you look for in a hosting provider.
For example what swayed you to your current provider. What features do you automatically look for etc etc.
Thanks in advance.

Ok heres my opinion...if you offer free hosting like in competitions etc. many people will come to your site and have a look, try will try to win right? So you give out one prize and the otheres are regularly checking you site, so you lauch a big promotion, they love it and you've got your buyers

24/7 live support is a must. Check in some of the bigger forums where people let off steam on the hosting companies. Look for the companies that are on their trying to actually solve the problem with clients or past clients that are on their complaining. It shows me dedication and that they care about their reputation.
