I am debating the idea of creating a forum to enhance a new site .What is the best way to get members and posts.
Any feedback or ideas would be great.

The problem with starting a forum nowadays is the fact that they are everywhere you look online anymore. Making your forum stand out is difficult.

Somehow, make yours a bit unique. Mod it, spice it up, theme it, seamlessly integrate it, put lots of work into it to yield a more throughput result.

Member-to-member word of mouth is probably the best marketing scheme, though, and remember that forums are difficult to monetize.

If you get useful subjects on your forum then it might be easier to get members and if you get a variety of posts of different subjects then it should be good

if you can think of a topic that aint well covered either maybe something that stands out this will also help also a good tip for starting out on a forum try keep it as small as you can then when it gets bigger open up some more topics! getting members to post is hard but when you get there its worth the work maybe get some paid posts with some good content as well!

I think you have to pay for the post if you want people post on the forum.
