wondering about making a little network

Hi,

I'm runing a link building company, basicly i sell links and I've been thinking to build a little network of 4 directories (that's the number of domain hosting I got left on my hosting account).

The way I see it, most people visiting directories are looking to add a link for their website(s) to increase link popularity, so if i can manage to have 4 directories with decent traffic, I'll advertise my link building services on them and will send many visitors to see my main site and services.

What are you thinking of that guys? any suggestions to make it work great?

That would be most beneficial to potential submitters if you could host each of the 4 directories on different host accounts. You could possibly exchange hosting with someone so that it would be no cash out of pocket for you, and you could advertise 4 unique links to 4 directories and it would actually have a great benefit SEO wise.

You're right but i don't want to open 4 hosting accounts when i got room in my actual one... The main goal will be to make money from the directories individually, and send visitors to my main site.

Using funnel sites to push customers towards your main service
is a great way of increasing the amount of money spent per
customer.

It would be a bit tougher that way, but it would benefit your customers, where as if you have them all on the same server, it would be like having a link on a single site as opposed to 4 individual sites. The reason for this is because search engines don't just look at the domain name that a link is hosted on, it also looks at the IP address and the IP range. So even if you bought some extra IP's so that each site had it's own unique IP address, less weight would be given because the IP's will be in the same range.

I agree, but since it will cost me $600+ for 2 years hosting just for my directories and I can't afford it yet, I'll just have to wait. I got other things to invest before paying for hosting that I got free now.

The main goal is to funel the visitors of the directories to my main site, not having different IP links pointing to my site.

But I know you're right guys and got your point

I'll certainly open new hosting accounts when the directories will have nice PR (4-5) and i'll have the money to do it.
