Google Alerts?

Anyone else use google alerts to have it inform you when anything related to your sites shows up in Google news or in the SERPS? I have just started using it to track information and seems to work well. If a new page shows up in the index linked to you, it will let you know.

Let's you keep tabs on many websites and topics with a lot less effort.

Anyone else have any tips on maximizing my use of Google Alerts? I still consider myself a newbie with it.

I used to subscribe it but sometimes it feels like spam . So stoped it.

Same as iWonder said, feels like SPAM, so I just quit.
