![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Now I won't even try to say I am a professional as AdSense, I never was, and I am simply try to find out what some things mean. On my AdSense within 3 days I have earned only $9.05 so far, and I am wondering what this means; On the first day of using it my eCPM was at one point $100.00+ and I wasn't earning much off my clicks, maybe $0.25 per click, although now my eCPM is $41.32 and today I have earned $4.32. On today my click through rate has dropped and so have my clicks, and the impressions haven't rose that much. So why are my clicks earning more. Here is the second day's and today's stats to help you help me; Quote:
I appreciate all help, and reputation will be given to those who help . I ain't bothered about it, I would just like to know why this is happening.Regards, Kieran Taylor.

![]() | The amount of money you make per click depends on how much it costs the advertiser to place that ad. The higher the cost for the ad, the more revenue that Google shares with you. Also, a CTR rate of 66.67% and 26.67% is extremely high. If Google can determine that a click came from you or seems suspicous it will not give you any money, as they try to prevent click fraud. So that is another possible reason why 52 clicks only resulted in $1.96. Google can also revoke you account and forfeit all your earnings if they deem that your account is not in good standing. (ie. continued bad clicks or other violation of their terms). I hope that helps. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Thank you for your input. How could they think that the clicks are coming from me? IP's by geographic location? I hope I don't get banned from Google AdSense for nothing. Maybe it's because my account is new. And you say "Also, a CTR rate of 66.67% and 26.67% is extremely high.", what CTR should I have, I can't help it if people are clicking my advertisements .What CTR is average? I know a friend clicked on my adverts because he said he thought it was a paid advert from another site, he wasn't aware it was from Google. But surely 1 click can't affect it that much ... nevermind. And, thank you again. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

![]() | I'm not positive, but I think that if it keeps getting clicks from a certain IP that may cause click not to earn anything. I think a decent CTR rate is about 2%, but if the ads are placed right and you have the right traffic, I guess rates like that are possible. If you clicks are genuine that I wouldn't worry about getting banned from Adsense, but the fact that you are earning such a small amount from them makes me believe that the clicks are not counting. Is this a new Adsense account? |

It is 3 days old, 4 days old tommorow. Why does that make a difference? I only have one advert on my homepage of my website www.kjcorporate.com . Google did says something about proper adverts not propergating until about 10 days after activation, you think that could be something do with it, because it said a lot of public service advertisements would appear until fully functional. ![]() | You don't get paid for PSA clicks, so that could be it, but I really don't know how many people would click the PSA, plus in my experience Adsense starts showing relevant ads pretty quickly, much sooner than 10 days, more like 10 minutes. Last edited 12-31-2006 at 06:02 AM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, I am getting a few good adverts like you usually see on other established AdSense websites, although I get a few Hurricaine Katrina Fund ones, and others like that. Apart from that I don't know. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Kieran, I think you better get your post out of this forum or edit and mask the figures. It is again the TOS to publish all this figures. It could lead you being banned ! Is'nt worth the risk, don't you think ? Furthermore, congrats with the results until now ! (would my site works that well )

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Thanks for informing me, but I don't think they can really do anything about it, there isn't much information there, not enough to filter through any way. I knew it was against their rules, but how else can I get direct information about it, I read their definitions and it didn't help me. Never mind. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

My daily average is just under 0.5%. The reason why you are earning more on your clicks could be the obvious reason because you have high-bidding ads showing on your pages. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't see any ads by Google on your home page. The banner that is there doesn't appear to be a Google ad, it doesn't display "ad by Google" like a typical banner should. My experience is that banner ads get very few clicks, so if you are at a high CTR with an image banner ad, then some flags are probably going off at Google. The best thing to do is to read and understand, and follow the TOS to a T to ensure that all of your earnings aren't revoked before you ever even get paid. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, My statistics have dropped now, my click through rate is now about 2% and I am getting about the same amount of impressions. My earning can't be revoked, because I haven't done anything wrong with it, and if they do cancel my account, I will simply have to join Yahoo! Publisher Network . I'd prefer to really.Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've heard good things about YPN, but I don't know first hand. I've heard that it's hard to become accepted, and that's why I haven't tried....I hate rejection.... ![]() |

Just wait for a couple of months... as far as I know, right now YPN just accept US based websites. Furthermore, I still don't see the adsense ads on your site...real awesome blending...or I'm still drunk from new-years eve ![]()

Ahahaha so you had a good one then? Well all my friend have said it look nice their, and I aren't a big fan of text adverts, so hopefully they do blend. I am going to wait a few months, as I haven't launched fully yet, and that will be when the reall traffic starts coming in. Regards, Kieran Taylor.
