![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Ryan, Well, a webhoster is a person or company who puts your website on their server and that way make your site "visible" from the internet and the visitors. In fact, they give you : 1) space (in MB or GB) to put your pages on 2) bandwith 3) backup facilities (if they are good )4) helpdesk In short...they take over all the technical stuff to put your site online and you just have to worry about the site itself. Be carefull in choosing the right one. There are a lot of webhosting company's on the web, but they are not all good ones. You plan to start a own website ?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bandwidth is the amount of data you transfer from the server to your users computer. That was an awesome explaination by Bisje, you should give him reputation by clicking on the icon that looks like this: inside of his post. |
