Default Up and coming search engine?
Is anyone familiar with Snap.com. It is a new search engine that seems to be on the rise. I noticed they are accepting site submissions.

Any thoughts?

The website is looking good, it has some good ideas of the preview with the websites, the home page does not look that good, but other than that the website is looking good. thanks for sharing this information with us

Hi there,

Good idea I suppose, but the site is rubbish and badly put together, and whenever I need to do a search with screenshots, I'd just use www.alexa.com. Plus it is miles slower than the big boys.

It definately takes too long to load. I dont really like the colours or the layout either.

I think it looks like it was whipped up in a hurry. It might improve later on.

It loads very long, the design of the main page isn't impressive, but the idea of the preview is interesting.

I checked it out the other day. I wasn't too impressed with the site, it could be much better. It loaded slow, and the previews exposed some noxious spam and black hat. I think the basic idea is a good one, one day when javascript is more incorporated with browsers it'll be tough to top.

dunno about you guys but if its for me, i prefer search engine that support non javascript (i dont really like to enable javascript unless its really necessary for me to do it)

and i dont like snap because i get this message when visiting them :
