![]() ![]() | It's a myth. Static HTML pages are not indexed better and are not ranked higher than dynamic pages. The only thing to remember when using dynamic pages are not to use too many variables (try to keep them under 4) and don't use anything that looks like a session id.

![]() | Completely html page is welcomed by google, msn and yahoo, because it's easy to read and crawl, and easy to find keywords in it. That's why doorway pages will be a good way for dynamic websites. But for google, backlink is the most important factor in SEO. |

![]() | Html is better to have as google find it much more easier to check and they do not find it as spam as much as others

![]() | My site uses .cfm - been up 3 months and whilst doing OK on MSN, is nowhere on google. Could .cfm be a problem? |

![]() | some search engines like Yahoo seem to aprreciate the name of pages as well: they even highlight the searched terms in URL, so it makes more sense to call pages like: "real_estate.php?house=2" rather then "re.php?a=sds3&b=4fda" |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, It doesn't matter what file extension you use as long as it has a search engine friendly name, for instance. Rather than use "read_about_our_company.html" just call it "about.html" or "about_us.html", also use search engine friendly php names, etc. I moved this thread to the Search Engine Optomization section as I think it belong in there more. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | To expand on what Kieran said, when you are naming files, sub-domains, or domains, it is important to use the hyphen as a word seperator instead of the underscore. SE's treat words seperated with an underscore as a single word and the same thing for words without spaces, but they view the hyphen as a replacement for a space, and thereby treat a hyphenated word as 2 seperate words. |
