 |  Which is more important on-page or off-page seo? Hi there, When i first started to impove rankings (cca. 3 years ago), i just edit meta tags, and the content. About a year ago i read somewhere that incoming backlinks is really importan in order to get satisfying rankings. I tried it and it worked (what a suprise  )Nowadays i think the on-page factors has about 40% and off-page optimization has 60% relative importance. Now i just want to know what You think about their relative importance in percentage.

 | Re: Which is more important on-page or off-page seo? As far as getting new people to your website, off page factors far outweigh on page factors. But, it is still important to keep your visitors at your site, and you do that by providing fresh unique content. |

| Re: Which is more important on-page or off-page seo? MSN and yahoo place more weight on page optimization, while google place more weight on backlinks. That's why some very urgly websites rank #1 in google SERPs. |
