  |  Google and DMOZ PageRank Bug As you may know Google's directory is based from DMOZ's listings, the only thing difference is that Google prioritizes the lists using Google PageRank. http://www.google.com/Top One thing i've noticed while surfing their directory. The pagerank next to the lists are not accurate, it is more or less a 'prediction pagerank' or the 'currect actual pagerank'. Check it out yourself. Check out this category: http://www.google.com/Top/Computers/...DNS/Web_Tools/ iWEBTOOL is placed 7th position and it shows a pagerank of 6 yet iwebtool.com only has an actual pagerank of 4. :confused: Interesting...

| Re: iwebtool PageRank Bug I checked predictions for http://www.solutionpoint.in on this site, result was a rosy picture of "5/10 predicted", same was the case with http://www.2letservice.com. How accurate is it, what's methodology they use to throw such predictions. Any guess? |

| Re: Google and DMOZ PageRank Bug According to http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html there is a Google Directory Export. The directory shows PR in 8 scale units rather than the 11 scale units in toolbar. The last update was December 19th. Last edited 02-13-2006 at 01:57 AM. |
