Default I could use some help with forum topics.

I just started a new computer and Internet related forum. I would like to gear it towards people who are new to these areas and help them get the most out of there experience, help them decide which browsers to use etc.

If you have any suggestions for useful topics, please let me know or feel free to post your suggestion in the forum.

I'd appreciate any and all input.

Hi,

I think you will get a better chance for someone to answer that questions at GFY.com and not here.

Just looking for some ideas for specific topics that would be useful for people in the computer and Internet world like how to clear cache, defrag hardrive, set cache file size etc., or posting the latest Firefox news...newest plug-plugs, how to use it to it's full potential, maybe one for people having problems with Firefox, etc.

What would be helpful for beginners and novices.

People have trouble with FF?... I'd say you have a pretty good list of ideas there already. If you are looking for a way to get people more active at your forum, they say that asking simple questions is the best way about it. I guess it makes people feel smart to be able to answer the questions of those in need. If you do offer advice in your forums, try not to run out of it too quickly. In other words, if you have 35 subjects that you can discuss, do them every other day, that way it will give you 70 days to come up with new content matter. If you lay it all out at once, then your current visitors will think your forum has become stagnate and are less likely to return.

Doesn't sound stupid, it's my lazy way of writing Firefox. FF is acronomys with Firefox.

Yes, but IE would be a better one, because of the troubles IE users face using the software. A good browser topic would be the differences in CSS scripting between IE and FF, that would certainly gain some attention.

yea, IE would be good and I could start some topics about it. About the css problems, I have problems with this myself. So far, I've kept my design simple enough and found a couple of hacks to not have much of a problem. I wouldn't be of much help to others on this subject.

I will open a forum on this though. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will post.
