Hotmail user/s logged into their account this week to find that scammers had deleted all their e-mails except for one, which was from a hacker demanding cash in exchange for restoring the lost information, according to Websense. Websense said this scam is a variant of ransomware, which is a malicious program that encrypts documents on the victim's computer and asks for a payment in order to decrypt the files.

Never used Hotmail. Isn't that mainly for MSN people.

Hotmail is completely useless: they delete sent mails after some time... I still have sent items from years ago on my Yahoo accounts.

I have always used Gmail. Hotmail pretty much sucks.

Wow thats a bit scary. I only use my hotmail account for junk now though. I havent checked it for months.

Not looking forward to opening it and having to delete thousands of spammy emails!

Gmail is becoming way more reliable and useful than hotmail and yahoo.
