I know why i do not need vista. Answer is simple it wouldn't run on my pc

2,8AMD Sempron, 516 RAM is not enough for the required 64bit technology.

I think its usually better to wait till all the bugs are fixed before having Vista on your computer, this goes for all software really, wait till there has been several revisions before buying.

Hi there,

As far as I know they are making a 32 bit version for the older systems, if they never they would not make much money on their new OS.

Have a look at the official Vista site on Microsoft it tells you all the different types of packages they are releasing.

I have a 32-bit system and it runs fine... heck, my processor is 1.8 Ghz Celeron. If you have a graphics card, it'll work on yours.

I think most Microsoft products are garbage, but I'll give them some kudos this time.

I use to be a Beta Tester for Microsoft from the days of Windows 95, 98, 2000 my advise is don't upgrade to Vista for at least 6 to 12 mths.

Why upgrade when there is real no reason to. Windows XP is becoming very stable now, stay with something that has already taken years to get where it is.

The prices are going to be quite expensive here in Aust at the start, prices will come down after 6mths.

I won't be instlaling vista on any of my pc:s untill I really really have to. I don't use windows for anything else than testing and flash mx so as long as I'll get IE updates to my current windows installation it's enough.
