Gateway script

I need a Gateway Script for a Members Area that I need to protect, the site will only be accessable to people who are an active subscriber to my ezine.

Are there any open source scripts that will do this, I've looked at Amember & that is not what I need.

Look here - there are many free ones and I'm sure you'll find something that suits your purposes.
