..Please Help! Time is running out before the December-End Update by Google for Back Links!! I need to get as many good Links as possible during this update!!

PLEASE suggest 10 good High PR FREE Directories!! I am sure your suggetion would help several members to prepare and be ready for the next Google update. I am told in this forum that if we miss December-end update, we need to wait for LONG HARD FOUR Months!

Actually, no one knows if the next update will be at the end of December, and no one really knows when an update will take place after the next update. Unfortunately Google doesn't feel like they can trust us(webmasters) enough to give up much information on PR or PR updates. The previous one was supposed to occur in the middle of October, but it actually began in the end of Sept. The next one might come this month, next month, or maybe not for another 3 months, no one really knows.

As for high PR directories, there are some lists lying around here that has high PR directories in them, you just need to look for it.

Hi, consider to send your URL to Wideon, a free Page rank 3 (predicted 5 according to the prediction tool from Iwebtool). Also you could send your site to the "Link Directory" section into Onlinewebmarket, another PR5 site with a free URL submission.

Why do you need them before the update? Google count them as soon as they find them. An update (PR and backlinks) is only the export of data that google have been using for some time..

I am unable to go by your opinion based on experience as follows:

My new site was launched in September 06. By 10th October I found 7 Back-links (ony one external Link). However as on today, this result shows NO CHANGE, if I search for Links:URL

Since then, I have been submitting my URL at several locations. However Link:URL shows the same old result. But if I search for my 'URL' as such in Google, I see large number of results in external web pages with hyperlink to the website.

Obviously, though Google has detected these pages, the links have not been updated in their database, for public view.

In this Forum, I was told that Google had updated Links in September end.. and an update is expected by DEC end. That must be true since I had 7 back-links very quickly, after site launch in September. Since then, no change , though more than 2 months have passed.

Obviously, the contention that Google updates links only occassionaly, should be correct.

Do you disagree?
