Home (index) page gone from msn search

Up until about a month ago my website enjoyed 1st place with MSN search using a popular keyword. Now this home page does not appear until page 7. Other pages from the site began to appear on page 6.

Strange, though, when I look at erroneous page requests from my server I get "visualfractions.com/V". I had 45 visualfractions.com.com/V errors in one day last month. visualfractions.com/V does get to my home page. My site has more than 2,500 backlinks with a pagerank of 5. It comes in 2nd in Google and 3rd in Yahoo under the same keyword.

I will remain patient and hope that MSN Live will at least post my home page ahead of my subtopics

Have you done a site search on MSN to see if they still have you indexed?

What do you mean mysite.com/V error? Can you explain in more detail? Maybe this is one reason for your rank drop. Another reason could be your competitors do better than you.

visualfractions.com.com/V is listed as a frequent input for attempts to access mysite.com (455 attempts in November so far). Although visualfractions.com/V does bring up visualfractions.com, my server lists visualfractions.com/V as an error page.

Competitors may do better, but my home page (visualfractions.com) comes before subpages an every search engine except for MSN. Home page shows on MSN search.

Yes, website is indexed. Site visualfractions.com home page has moved from page 7 to page 5 using keyword "fractions". Still not first place as before, but is moving in the right direction.

Yes, site is indexed, but home page is listed under one of menu pages.
Instead of :
Visual Fractions - A Fraction Tutorial
Add Fractions

I'm getting:
Add Fractions
Visual Fractions - A Fraction Tutorial

This is for the key word "fractions" and appears on page 5 on MSN search when a few months ago, Visualfractions came in first.

With "link:www.visualfractions.com" I get over 3000 results.

Just be patient, it could be and indexing error which will be corrected shortly

if you did not loose any of backlink , you can relax . if you have lost any of backlink , you must worry for that

It's indexed now. So no problem. msn is poor at crawling and visiting pages, so after a time pages can expire.

It would help if your internal pages references the homepage, as that does encourage more regular crawling. At present your internal pages refer to your home page as http://www.visualfractions.com/index.htm rather then http://www.visualfractions.com/
It would help if that was changed.
