Default Release of .eu extension

Personally I think this will give .com a run for it's money. It will surely become the most popular extension after .com. I was curious if any of you were going to reg an .eu's when the land rush begins. I have read the requirements and it seems if you are not a European resident then you must have you main business activites located in the European community. I would like a further explanation of this also.

well, i dont think it'll be as popular as .coms
because loads of countries in europe have their own
like .it. de. co.uk .fr and stuff, so it just for the other countries :p

This world is run on "sex"... drives me nuts. (no pun intended)

But, I'll admit, sex/porno on the net is a bigger portion of a driving ad promoted website that makes money.. so...

I don't blame em.

.asia? No, ICANN was considering it but I don't know what happened to the proposal...

There also was a proposal for the ".xxx" registration.

Petition from IRONICALLY from Woman's right's activists...
and some others, I forgot.

The whole point for the .xxx domain was to make it RELATIVELY EASY TO BLOCK ANY WEBSITE WITH THE .xxx domain name.

and to inset a sort of "pornographic" related domain range all it's own.

That same "domain range all it's own" is what petitioners used against it.
Saying that it was giving the Porn/XXX people more power.

...
I say
make such registration:

.stupidpeople

Nothing can beat .com ever, but .eu will be popular too. I just hope they finish the restrictions on registration of .eu names.

A Danish church was trying to bid/win the sex.eu domain name and although they were one of the first to try to get it, they didn't win it. I read that on an article some place. I don't think they wanted someone making a pornographic website out of it and I don't blame them. Or maybe they wanted to sell it and raise money for their church who knows.
