I'm not sure, but thats a creative way of hiding ads from visitors.

i think that site already violates adsense policies :

1. They dont put border near the adsense ads

Quote:
If you choose to experiment with placing images directly next to the ads, I’d strongly encourage you to maintain a visible border around the adunits to reduce the possibility of confusing users.

2. They are placing misleading images near the adsense ads

Quote:
You’re welcome to place images near the Google ads on your site. However, we ask that publishers not place misleading images near Google ads or use images that appear to be directly associated with the advertisers and their offerings. Such images may draw undue attention to the ads and prompt unintentional user clicks, thereby artificially inflating advertiser costs.

Its against google terms. Even if it's for the fact that the adverts are labeled "new games".

it is not allowed. as i remember you can only use the labels "sponsors" or "advertisement" to reference google ads.

I believe so because it places graphics next to the ads, which could mislead some people to think that the ads are part of the page content. But I might be wrong...I suggest that you contact Google directly if you plan to do something like this.

My understanding is they will allow you to have images as long as their is a border around the image or some difference in background color to seperate them from the ads. One way I have seen a few doing this latley is a simple multi color strip that is 10 px wide and has maybe three or for colors. It looks almost like a small multi colored line it is not even a image of anything but it still draws attention to the ads which helps CTR.

Thanks
